Residential Landscape Technician Diploma
Program details:
The Resident Landscape Technician Diploma Program will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to work as a professional landscaper. This part-time program is industry-approved and developed in cooperation with the BC Landscape and Nursery Trades Association. Upon completion, you will be prepared to write the Certified Horticulture Technician Exam.
This program will be of interest to you if you are:
- Those considering a career in the landscape industry
- Those considering starting their own business in the landscape industry
- Those currently working in the industry and wish to update their knowledge in order to provide more comprehensive and professional services to clients
- Participants can complete this program on a part-time basis in two semesters. A combination of classroom and field experiences is provided. Classes are held one evening per week and Saturday mornings for 9 weeks each semester. Home study and examinations will be included
You can complete this program in two semesters (September - December 2012 and January - March 2012. Courses are a combination of classroom and field experience, and are based on BC Landscape Standards and the most current horticultural research.
Home study and examinations will be included. Minimum 90% attendance is required.

Location:
Classes take place at the Douglas College Surrey Training Centre, conveniently located across from Central City in Surrey and easily accessible by transit.
Program cost:
The program fee is $550 per semester (includes manual and study materials).
