The Training Group at Douglas College offers a variety of programs that can help you get back to work. Most of our programs are government funded and offered at no cost to you.

Career Builder Plus - gives you the tools and information to make smart choices about your future career.

The CAVE Employment Resource Centre - offers free job-finding support, job search resources, and one-to-one career coaching for ages 15-30.

Essential Skills - are the core building blocks Canadians need to take part in virtually all daily activities and occupations. Essential Skills:

  • are the fundamental skills needed for work, learning and life
  • provide the foundation for learning all other skills
  • enhance people's ability to adapt to workplace change

Practice Firm - a virtual company where new Canadians develop valuable experience in Canadian work practices plus a Career Portfolio to support your job search.

Skills Connect for Immigrants - is for immigrants who are certified in their profession or trade. Get the career development coaching and access to training that you need to start your professional career in Canada.
