Welcome to Student Success, where our job is to help you get off to a great start in your college studies. In fact, the most common comment from students who have taken our keystone course, Student Success 1100: Introduction to College Studies, is: “I don’t know how anyone survives their first year at college without Student Success 1100!”
A recent Statistics Canada report indicates that that up to 15% of all Canadian college and university students drop out in their first year because of poor study skills and habits, difficulty getting used to the expectations of college, and poor career focus. But our students report better academic results, stronger motivation and greater overall satisfaction with their college experience.
Why not get off to a great start at College by taking Student Success 1100. We’ll show you how to survive and thrive at college…and beyond.
Student Success 1100: Introduction to College Studies is offered each year during the Fall and Winter terms, with classes at the New Westminster and Coquitlam campuses. We also offered sections specifically designed for Douglas College student athletes.
