Internships
Internships are intended for students who have recently graduated with a diploma or degree from Douglas College and are looking for a work opportunity abroad to facilitate their transition to the workplace. These internships are usually not operated by Douglas College but by another organization responsible for organizing the internship placement.
Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA)
CIDA funds a range of internships in a variety of areas and countries to assist young graduates with a diploma or degree to work in international development. CIDA funding usually covers travel, accommodations, medical, and a small salary. If you are interested, apply directly to the organization offering the placement. For information on available placements and how to apply, visit CIDA.
If you graduated from Douglas College with a diploma or degree and are successful in securing a CIDA funded internship from the Youth Internship Program, you are eligible for a $300 award from Douglas College.
You must have graduated from Douglas College within two years of securing your internship position and also need to show a letter from your internship employer saying you were hired for the internship.
