Whether you're a current student or considering attending Douglas, career counselling is available to help you begin planning your academic and career goals. The process of exploring careers and planning your future career can take some time. During your career counselling appointment we can discuss your career questions and provide resources to assist in your ongoing research.
Career Counselling topics may include:
- Identifying your interests, skills and values
- Learning about post-secondary programs
- Researching occupational information
- Labour market information
- Job searching techniques
- How to conduct information interviews
- Changing your program or career goal
- Mid-career transitions
- Decision-making strategies
- Referrals to community career services

Human Development
More detailed career planning is offered through our one semester credit course HUMD 0130. This course is typically offered in the Fall and Winter semesters.
