First Aid

New Westminster & David Lam Campuses

First Aid is provided by Campus Security.

From an internal phone:

From a cell phone:
604-527-5405 (NW Campus Security)
604-777-6254 (DL Campus Security)

If a First Aid attendant is not available, Security will call an ambulance if required.

Things to remember:

  • Stay on the line and be ready to give details.
  • Do not move a patient unless there is high risk of further injury.
  • Do not leave a patient unattended.
  • If hazardous materials are involved, refer to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
  • MSDS master files are in located in Facilities Services at the David Lam and New Westminster Campus.

Security Kiosk Locations:

New Westminster:
East end of the concourse on Level 2

David Lam:
South end of the building A/B atrium, Level 1

Note: the first aid rooms at 2202 (NWC) and B1200 (DLC) do not have resident attendants ¿ please contact Security for first aid.

Training Centres

At the Burnaby, Maple Ridge, Surrey and Abbotsford Training Centres, First Aid is provided by designated staff trained in first aid. The name and contact number for your first aid attendant is posted at the front desk in each centre. If the first aid attendant is not available, call 911.

Be prepared!
Take CPR or other first aid training. Read the first aid section at the front of a telephone book.

Do your part!
Emergency eyewash and showers must be unobstructed and tested weekly by designated staff (testing tag must be initialled and dated each time).
