If you're looking for an active career that provides you with lots of options, the Douglas College Diploma in Sport Science is a great place to start.

Working with experienced Sport Science faculty, you'll get the skills, training and certification you need to start your career in coaching, teaching, health and fitness, leisure and sport administration or exercise science.

For Fall 2012, we've expanded our program to enhance your learning options and career pathways.

Program Highlights

  • University Transfer options - a Diploma in Sport Science allows you to transfer directly into the 3rd year of many related university degree programs.
  • Career Opportunities - get the foundation you need to pursue a variety of careers in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Recreation & Leisure and Health Education.

Full- and Part-Time Studies

The Sport Science Diploma is designed to be flexible. You can study full-time to complete your diploma in 2 years, or study part-time to accommodate work or family obligations and take a little longer.

Location

Courses for the Diploma program are offered at both the New Westminster and David Lam (Coquitlam) campuses.

Start Dates

There are two intakes per year for the Sport Science Diploma program: Fall (September) and Winter (January). Application deadlines are April 30 for the Fall semester and October 1 for the Winter semester.
