Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing
Douglas College has provided diploma education in Psychiatric Nursing for over thirty years. This program provides three years of course studies in Psychiatric Nursing. The Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing program is designed to provide you with specialized knowledge and skills to provide safe, comprehensive and holistic psychiatric nursing care
Each semester builds on foundational concepts and skills to prepare students to respond to the ever-changing health care needs of our society. You will be qualified to work in a variety of mental health care settings at graduation and will be eligible to complete your degree online.
The program is approved by the Provincial Government and the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia (CRPNBC). At program completion you'll be eligible to apply to the CRPNBC to write the licensure exam and on successful completion apply for provincial nursing licensure.
