Medical Office Assistant Citation
If you're currently working in an office environment but would like training in medical office procedures, the Medical Office Assistant Citation Program is for you. The program is offered over the Internet, allowing you to complete your coursework on your own time while continuing to work. The only time you will need to come to Douglas College is to write your exams.
As a graduate of the Medical Office Assistant Citation Program, you'll have the training necessary to apply for jobs in physicians' offices, clinics, public or private hospitals, nursing homes, or community health centers.
For admission and other details, please see the Medical Office Assistant Citation section of the Douglas College Calendar.
Courses
While in the Medical Office Assistant Citation Program you'll take courses covering everything from medical administrative procedures and medical terminology to medical billing procedures and clinical procedures and practice.
Further education
Most of the credits earned in the Medical Office Assistant Citation Program can be transferred to one of our certificate programs.
Our certificate program can lead to an Office Administration Diploma Program, which can be transferred to Kwantlen Polytechnic University's Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Entrepreneurial Leadership.
