Douglas College offers you the comprehensive general training that leads to jobs in the music industry. Whether you are interested in a full-time music program or part-time studies through our Community Music School, Douglas College can provide the music training you need to achieve your goals.

Why study music at Douglas?

Music programs for all abilities

Douglas offers four distinct options for studying music:

University Transfer (UT)
If you want to earn a Bachelor of Music, you can start studying at Douglas and then transfer your credits to a university. Earn up to half of your degree at Douglas.

Basic Musicianship
If you have an interest in music but little or no formal training, you can upgrade your skills, earn a Basic Musicianship Certificate and/or prepare for the UT program.

Music Technology Certificate
Music Technology training is essential for almost any career in the music industry today. This one-year, full-time program will give you the hands-on training you need for a solid foundation in music technology.

Community Music School
If you are a beginner or want to upgrade your music skills, you can take classes on a casual or part-time basis. Non-credit courses open to the community.
