Jan Carrie, Dean, Faculty of Child, Family and Community Studies congratulates the Career Development Practitioner Program Instructors BC Career Management 2007 TEAM Excellence Award Winners
It is with great pleasure that I announce our Career Development Practitioner (CDP) Certificate Program instructors as this year's winners of the BC Career Management Association's 2007 Team Excellence Award for their contribution to BC's career development community.
The Instructor Team - Eileen Cook, Donna Cottell, Susan Greffard, Carol Hanson, Anahita Kadkhoda, Allison Klundt, Audrey Pons, John Saremba, Bob Shebib and Gisela Theurer received the award on March 14 2007 during a ceremony at the 10th Annual Career Development Conference in Vancouver BC.
This team of instructors has been teaching and inspiring students for over a decade in the Faculty of Child, Family and Community Studies, Continuing Education. They personify the Douglas College Mission to enhance the skills, knowledge and values of life-long learners in meeting their goals.
In her nomination of the CDP Instructor Team, Cheryl Jeffs Continuing Education faculty member and CDP program manager commented on how each team member carries forward the vision of the first instructors and innovators of this program for the advancement of career development.
It truly is a team effort towards making this distinguished Award a reality and also timely to acknowledge continuing education staff Lynne Wilson for her support of this program. Well done and congratulations! This is a great honour and a wonderful reflection on the Faculty of Child, Family and Community Studies and Douglas College.
