Cost
Tuition fees for the 2-year diploma are approximately $5,000. Tuition fees for the 4-year degree are approximately $11,000. Books and student fees are extra. Rates are subject to change, so check current costs using the Program Cost Calculator.
Location
All classes take place at the New Westminster Campus, steps from the New West SkyTrain Station. Worksite learning placements at various Lower Mainland locations.
Start date
September (Fall semester) for both diploma and degree. Spaces are limited so apply early!
How long does the program take?
Child and Youth Care Counsellor Diploma: 2 years (or less if you have recognized experience)
Degree - BA in Child and Youth Care: 4 years OR 2 years with related diploma
Part-time diploma and degree students: completion will vary
Credit for experience
Apply your related work experience or studies and receive academic credit for up to 75 percent of your diploma! For more information, see Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition Service.
Part-time studies
Part-time studies are available in both the diploma and degree programs - evening courses are offered in both Fall and Winter semesters.
