Biology offers University transfer courses at the first- and second-level for transfer into programs which have biology or laboratory science requirements (e.g. Biology, other sciences, Education, Physical Education). Human Biology courses are also offered as service courses to Douglas College Programs, including Health Information Management, Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Therapeutic Recreation Training.
Biology courses numbered 1000 or 2000 have a laboratory component. Labs for these courses are unscheduled, but will require up to three hours per week. The laboratory is open during the day on weekdays and one or more evenings each week and students may choose appropriate times within the open hours. The open hours vary from semester to semester depending on course offerings.
