Feb 1 - Centre for Campus Life and Athletics to host BCCAA Badminton Provincials
The Douglas College Centre for Campus Life and Athletics will host the 2010-11 British Columbia Athletics Association (BCCAA) Badminton Provincial Championship February 12-13 at Pinetree Community Centre, Coquitlam.
The two-day event will host some of the best badminton athletes at both a provincial and national level. With provincial titles and national championship births at stake, spectators can expect to see tremendous skill, agility and power from one of the fastest paced games the BCCAA has to offer.
The team event competition begins Saturday, February 12, at 10:30 am, with a skills competition for all athletes beginning at 1:30 pm. The individual competition begins Sunday, February 13, at 9:30 am.
The winners
will travel to the National Championship, hosted by Mount Allison University,
in Sackville, NB.
Concession services and free parking will be provided throughout the weekend.
