All EBSCO Databases are Down

Our Apologies for the outage, but currently all EBSCO databases are temporarily unavailable. EBSCO is working on rectifying this problem as soon as possible.
All Systems Go!
Were you trying to access the library's articles and databases from off campus this past weekend? Maybe trying to put items on hold or renew your books? Unfortunately our library server went down on Saturday night and the problem was only detected Monday morning. The issue has now been rectified and we're running on all cylinders again. Sorry for the disruption, please let us know
if we can help you with any upcoming projects you might have!
New Streaming Videos
The Library has purchased a number of streaming videos with funding from the Library Collections Endowment. This fund was established to assist with the purchase of library materials. In order to view the videos from home, you will need to
log into the system with your student or employee number.

Join us for Trivia Night and help support libraries in Uganda

So you think you know it all? Well, here's a chance to test your general knowledge, have fun and help raise money for a
library in Uganda.
On Thursday, February 9 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Coquitlam campus of Douglas College, we are hosting a Quiz Night. Teams of four will compete against each other for bragging rights, and a few small prizes, while enjoying the repartee of MC Greg Garrison, snacks and some fun games of skill. There is also a cash bar.
Douglas College is joining with
Coquitlam Public Library to raise $6,000 to equip the
Busolwe Public Library in Uganda with books and solar power so the villagers can read and study in the evening, access a computer and hold community meetings.
The entry fee is $20 a person ($80 for the team of four). Rhian Piprell, director of the Coquitlam Public Library, has spent many weeks putting together the questions and coming up with prizes. I encourage you to challenge colleagues and friends, chat to your neighbours and enter a team. It will be a fun night, a chance to hang out together and enjoy exercising those little gray cells - all the while raising money to help others experience the joy of a library.
To register your team, contact Shelley Waldie by February 1 at 604-527-5180 or email her at
waldies@douglascollege.ca. Payment can be via cash or cheque made out to Douglas College.
