Nursing Kits

All students are required to purchase a box of clean vinyl gloves and bring them to laboratory classes. The reasons for students purchasing their own gloves are to ensure safe medical asepsis practices and to reinforce guidelines for proper glove utilization.

BSPN and BSN students are required to purchase additional equipment, a "Nursing Kit" (which includes dressing, injection and intravenous supplies). This kit is sold in the Douglas College Bookstore. At time of purchase, the student must show their Douglas College student identification. As well, BSPN and BSN students are required to purchase a pair of sterile non-latex gloves (sold separate to the "Nursing Kit").

Syringes and vial will be exchanged when not functioning properly. Students should go to C2017 to exchange faulty injection equipment. Dressing trays, ampules and intravenous supplies are sold separately in the bookstore.
