Welcome to the Faculty of Health Sciences,
The Health Sciences faculty is ready to provide you with a 35 year history of high quality professional programs. The Douglas College Faculty in Health Sciences is known for providing student centered education that comprises theory, skills and clinical education. Health Sciences education in the new millennium combines theory, simulation and guided practice to provide the student with the optimum experience as they undertake their professional roles. Health Science graduates are ready to work in health settings in hospitals, clinics, and the community. With experience graduates work in education, research and a variety of specialist fields. We offer a variety of certificate, diploma and degree programs in:
- Nursing (Bachelors)
- Psychiatric Nursing (Diploma & Bachelors)
- Health Care Support Worker (Certificate)
- Dental Assisting (Certified Dental Assistant)
- Health Information Management (Diploma)
The future in a health sciences career is excellent. Graduates readily obtain employment on a regional and national basis. Many of our graduates progress in their careers with further education and experience into leadership roles both nationally and internationally.
