Statement of Authorities, Accountabilities, and Limitations:

The Vice President¿s Academic Council (VPAC) is an academic leadership and administration body.  This body provides academic program planning and academic leadership on behalf of the College. The Council carries out the collective responsibilities of the committee members and their respective areas in accordance with the responsibility and accountability delegated by the College Board through the President.

Dean, Developmental Education (voting member)
Director, Student Enrollment Services & Registrar
VPA Administrative Assistant (support and non-voting)

VPAC is assisted in this work by six Committees:
·                  Standing Committee on Academic Affairs (SCAA)
·                  Standing Committee on Educational Technology for Teaching and Learning (ETTL)
·                  Continuing & Contract Education Coordination Committee
·                  Academic Signature Steering Committee (ASSC)
·                  Timetable Operations Committee (TOC)
·                  Scholarly Activity Fund Adjudication Committee (SAFAC)

The Membership for these committees consists of faculty members and, in the case of the Continuing & Contract Education Coordination Committee, staff members and faculty members from across three Divisions of the College.  The Committees are chaired by faculty.  The Deans are ex officio members of these committees (non-voting), and serve as liaison function between the committees and VPAC.  Joint meetings occur on occasion, and the business conducted on these committees is reported back to VPAC.
